Faye Gosling & Jake Lee Savage worked with Year 6 at Westley Middle School to learn the song “Forty Miles”. The song was collected on 25th October 1910 from Charles Newby in the village of Reydon. Charles was a former publican of the White Horse in Southwold. By the time Vaughan Williams visited him in 1910 he was 80 years old and resident in the Almshouses in Reydon. More info….
