Although EATMT had decided not to run Stepdance Day this year because of the uncertainty of lifting of restrictions, we did offer to provide some music and stepping to feature at the Strumpshaw Tree Fair this year.
Norfolk based researcher and musician Chris Holderness, very kindly agreed to organise the music and dancers to play for the festival goers on the Sunday afternoon in the dance tent.
Our thanks go to Hushwing musicians –Chris Holderness and David Reeves, fiddles; Cass Devlin, melodeon; Dave Devlin banjo & fiddle; Philip Williams, mandolins; Alan Helsdon electronic piano.
And also to our dancers who came from Essex, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk: Mo Allum, Michael Czarnobaj, Fiona Davies, Chris Gill, Angela Peacock, Violet Pridemore and Ron White.

The fair was a great success – mindfully created with lots of space and sensible behaviour from all attending. Huge congratulations to Candy and the Team for making it happen!
